Stacey Bernards

Stacey Bernards is Senior Vice President, Global Government Relations. 

In this role, she leads global government relations activities for Honeywell, overseeing a team of government relations professionals in key markets to advance policies that will enable the company’s growth strategies. She responsible for leading all global, federal, and state government relations activities and developing and executing Honeywell’s strategic global corporate, regulatory, and government relations strategies. She is also responsible for ensuring strong relationships with key regulators and government leaders in the US and globally.

Previously, Stacey led government relations for Honeywell Energy and Sustainability Solutions globally. Prior to that role she led Building Technologies, High Growth Regions (emerging markets), and tax policy. She also was in Brussels for more than 3 years while serving as Honeywell’s Vice President Government Relations for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. Earlier in her tenure at Honeywell, Stacey was responsible for Honeywell Transportation Systems global advocacy, tax matters, corporate governance, federal health, sustainability and environment issues, and the Honeywell International Political Action Committee. 

Before joining Honeywell, Ms. Bernards worked on Capitol Hill for a dozen years. She served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Majority Leader Steny Hoyer during both his tenure as Majority Leader and Minority Whip of the U.S. House.

Prior to that, she served in several roles of increasing responsibility for Hoyer, including Senior Advisor and Communications Director in the Office of the Majority Leader. Stacey began her career in Washington with Representative Dave Obey, the former Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee. 

She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, proficient in French, and Green Belt certified.
